Night Vision Devices

Night vision performance depends on three variables: image tube generation (which determines light amplification and resolution), objective lens diameter (which controls light gathering and field of view), and optical quality of the glass and coatings. Binoculars sacrifice mounting flexibility for two-eyed situational awareness; monoculars and goggles prioritize weapon integration and helmet compatibility. Thermal imaging operates independently of ambient light but costs more and requires different maintenance protocols.
