Lights

Weapon-mounted lights serve two distinct functions: target identification in low-light conditions and tactical positioning via light discipline. Performance hinges on output (lumens), beam pattern, and durability under recoil. Runtime and battery type matter less than consistent throw distance and whether the light maintains zero when mounted. Evaluate mount compatibility with your platform, activation method (pressure switch, tail cap, or both), and whether the housing survives repeated deployment.
