A Night Vision Device (NVD), houses an image intensification system that uses the transmission and multiplication of light to turn what would typically be darkness to your eye, into visible light.

Yes, generally speaking, any exposure to light is not good for your NVD. Different types of light and level of intensity is what cause the amount of damage. Sunlight is typically what we see causes the most damage to night vision. Limited indirect exposure in a lighted room with no windows typically causes minimal to no damage. We recommend to at all costs avoid exposure to any sunlight or direct close distance exposure to any artificial light including IR (infrared) light.

See The Night has two locations, Marietta, GA (main) and Sarasota, FL (showroom). Both of these locations welcome you to come and test any of our products. We also have trusted dealers in many other states/cities. If you are interested in getting a hands-on experience before purchasing or upgrading, please contact us.
